Biography

Benjamin Spagnolo is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge. His expertise lies in civil law, particularly Roman and public law. He holds a BA(Hons) and LLB(Hons) from the University of Western Australia, as well as a BCL and DPhil from the University of Oxford, and an MA from the University of Cambridge. Spagnolo was elected a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, and has served as a Tutor in Law at Christ Church, Oxford. His academic career includes a role as an Adjunct Teaching Fellow at the University of Western Australia Law School. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has been a practicing barrister and solicitor, admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2006. He also held the position of Associate Chief Justice in Australia from 2007 to 2008.
