Biography

Bequie Perry is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Penn State Ross Carol Nese College of Nursing, committed to advancing nursing education through innovative, culturally competent, and globally engaged approaches. Holding a multidisciplinary master's degree in arts with a focus on ceramics and museum studies, Bequie's creative approach informs her teaching and community engagement. She has a clinical background in emergency forensic nursing and continues to practice as a staff nurse and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) at Independence Health. A 2024-2025 Penn State Global Learning Fellow, Bequie's academic interests encompass integration of arts in health education, global learning, and intentional career development in nursing. An active presenter at state, national, and international levels, she represents emergency nursing as a national and international delegate. Bequie holds multiple leadership roles within the Emergency Nurses Association, including Communications Co-Chair for the Pennsylvania State Council and President-Elect of the Western Chapter.
