Biography

Bernard Ries is a Professor at the University of Fribourg, leading the Decision Support & Operations Research Group in the Department of Informatics. He received his PhD in mathematics from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in 2007. Following this, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Columbia University from 2008 to 2009. He has participated in the organization of international workshops aimed at connecting graph theory with computer science applications.
