Biography

Beth Glenn is a professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She serves as the Co-Director of Community Outreach Engagement at the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and is the Associate Director at the UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity. Dr. Glenn's research focuses on conducting scientifically rigorous and pragmatic research designs to implement and evaluate interventions aimed at reducing racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities in cancer and chronic diseases. Her role as a principal investigator and co-investigator involves numerous ongoing projects and studies aimed at increasing Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine completion in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and evaluating the effects of multilevel interventions for cancer screening and obesity control in preschools. Her research has notably addressed disparities in liver cancer prevention and control among primary care patients in California. Dr. Glenn has developed numerous funded research initiatives that investigate screening and prevention strategies for skin cancer and disparities among breast and colorectal cancer survivors.
