Biography

Beth Latimer is a board-certified geriatric nurse practitioner and simulationist with 30 years of teaching experience at the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She serves as the Clinical Professor and Executive Director of the Clinical Simulation Learning Center. Latimer is recognized as a leader in nursing simulation and is certified as a Healthcare Simulation Educator. Her scholarship focuses on enhancing disability education for healthcare professionals, improving the quality of care for older adults, and advancing simulation educator scholarship. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and has completed a Master’s degree in Gerontological Nursing and Nursing Administration from NYU, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Pennsylvania. Latimer's contributions to nursing education have been acknowledged with numerous awards, including the INACSL Leadership Excellence Award and NYU Faculty Honors. Her research interests include experiential learning activities related to care for people with disabilities and enhancing interprofessional simulation education.
