Biography

Beth Paschke is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Chemistry, University of Glasgow, where she has been a part of the academic community since December 2003. She began her academic career after completing her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Glasgow, earning a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry followed by a PhD focused on the dynamics and thermodynamics of genetically engineered enzymes. Prior to her current position, she gained significant experience working as a Senior Research Chemist at Ciba-Geigy, where she was involved in the development of new azo phthalocyanine products for the paint, ink, and plastics industries. Beth has actively contributed to teaching and student engagement within the School, including the reorganization of first-year undergraduate labs and participation in various outreach activities. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she leads workshops at the Glasgow Science Centre and engages in collaborative projects aimed at enhancing educational experiences for students in chemistry courses.
