Biography

Betty joined Adam Smith Business School in October 2012. Previously, she was an assistant professor of Finance at Yonsei University School of Business in Korea. She received her bachelor's degree in Economics from National Taiwan University and her master's degree in Economics from the University of Virginia. Subsequently, she graduated with an MPhil in Economics from the Tinbergen Institute and a PhD in Finance from the University of Amsterdam in 2010. Her PhD thesis was titled 'Essays on Top Management and Corporate Behavior'. Betty is affiliated with the European Corporate Governance Training Network during her PhD studies. Her research interests lie primarily in Corporate Governance, Empirical Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Entrepreneurship, and Behavioral Finance. Over the years, she has been involved in various grants and has supervised students in topics like Financial Management and Corporate Governance.
