Biography

Beverley Loke is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Relations at the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, Australian National University. She is also affiliated with the Australian Centre on China in the World and has been a Visiting Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Loke's research agenda is motivated by complexity and contestation in the evolving global order. Her research interests include politics of great power responsibility, hegemonic ordering, global knowledge production practices, China's foreign policy, and US-China relations within the context of international relations in the Indo-Pacific. She has published in esteemed journals such as the European Journal of International Relations, International Studies Review, China Quarterly, Pacific Review, Asia Security, and the Australian Journal of International Affairs. Loke was previously a Lecturer at the University of Exeter and a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, UK.
