Biography

Beverly Aagaard Kienitz is a Professor of Radiology and the Fellowship Director for Neuroendovascular Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She obtained her medical degree from the University of California, Davis, and completed her General Surgery internship, Radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and fellowships in Neuroradiology at the University of Washington, Seattle, as well as Interventional Neuroradiology at Columbia University, New York. Her expertise lies in both adult and pediatric neuroendovascular/neurointerventional treatments, including strokes, cerebral aneurysms, AVM embolization, vascular malformations sclerotherapy, tumor embolization, and stenting of intracranial and extracranial vessels. As the Program Director for the Endovascular Neurosurgery/Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship Program at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Aagaard Kienitz is dedicated to training the next generation of specialists in her field. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to medical literature and continues to be an active participant in radiology and neurological surgery education.
