Biography

Beverly McGuire is an experienced opera singer and concert recitalist, teaching voice to students at all levels, including undergraduates and graduates, in the Department of Music at Concordia University since 1991. With thirty-five years of voice teaching, she possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in repertoire and guides her students through their early stages of development to graduation recitals. Beverly has coached singers in various forms including operatic ensembles, oratorios, chamber works, musicals, and Celtic folk, emphasizing the importance of finding one's unique sound. As a versatile performer, she has sung Opera, Concert Recitals, Oratorios, Traditional Celtic, Folk, and Broadway Musicals, and is a well-known soloist in Montreal’s churches and synagogues. Beverly graduated from McGill University with a focus on Voice Performance and has received numerous scholarships and awards throughout her education and career. Her involvement with the Tudor Singers has allowed her to participate in Canadian tours across Europe and appearances in radio and television broadcasts. With her extensive performance experience and teaching approach, she aims to help individuals pursue their own musical journeys while developing their unique voice.
