Biography

Bhart-Anjan Bhullar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences at Yale University, where his research focuses on the evolutionary history of vertebrates. His lab investigates significant evolutionary transitions through the geological record, particularly concerning the origins of modern vertebrate lineages, including data from birds and mammals. He leverages cutting-edge molecular and developmental biology techniques, high-resolution 3D imaging, and geometric analysis to uncover the mechanisms driving pivotal events in evolutionary history.
