Biography

Bhaskar Dutta is a distinguished professor of economics at Ashoka University and has been a professor at the University of Warwick since November 2000. He is a prominent economic theorist specializing in Development Economics, with significant contributions to understanding the Indian economy. Dutta has a long-standing association with the Indian Statistical Institute, where he taught from 1979 to 2002, and returned as a visiting professor between 2006 and 2014.
