Bhaskar Krishnamachari is a Professor and Ming Hsieh Faculty Fellow in the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California. He received Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union and Cornell University, respectively. Since joining the faculty in 2002, he has held a joint appointment in the Department of Computer Science, and he serves as Director of the Autonomous Networks Research Group and Co-Director of the Ming Hsieh Institute. He has co-authored 300 technical articles with over 32,000 citations. His research has been recognized with multiple awards, including the prestigious IEEE Fellow status in 2023 and earning a place in the Popular Science Magazine's 'Brilliant Ten' list in 2015. He has received various distinguished awards for his teaching and research, including the ASEE Frederick E. Terman Award and the IEEE-HKN Outstanding Young Electrical Computer Engineer Award. Prof. Krishnamachari has also contributed to many journals and has authored books, notably titled 'Networking Wireless Sensors' with Cambridge University Press.
