Dr. Bhuwan Dhingra

Biography

Bhuwan Dhingra is an Assistant Professor at Duke University, specializing in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning. His research focuses on knowledge representation and the robustness of large language models (LLMs) under adversarial conditions. Dhingra's recent work involves assessing the degree to which current generation LLMs can recover original text from adversarial perturbations, examining their reliance on surrounding context. He actively participates in significant conferences such as the International Conference on Computational Linguistics and the Association for Computational Linguistics, presenting research that sheds light on the limitations and capabilities of LLMs. Bhuwan has been awarded several grants from the National Science Foundation for projects concerning scientific workloads and generating question-answer pairs to address information deficits in public health issues. He holds a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, where he cultivated his expertise in machine learning and its applications in various domains.
