Biography

Bianca Brijnath is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Western Australia and serves as the Director of the Social Gerontology Division at the National Ageing Research Institute. She has a disciplinary training in medical anthropology and public health, with a research expertise in cultural diversity, dementia, and mental health. Her work focuses on dementia prevention, awareness, and care, particularly within culturally diverse communities both in Australia and internationally. In 2022, she was inducted into the State Government of Victoria’s Multicultural Honour Roll for her significant contributions to research and cultural diversity.
