Biography

Bianca K. Frogner, PhD, is a Professor and Interim Chair in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington. She leads the UW Center for Health Workforce Studies and the UW Primary Care Innovation Lab, both of which are based in the Department of Family Medicine. In addition, she holds an adjunct professorship in the Health Systems and Population Health Department at the UW School of Public Health. Dr. Frogner has contributed significantly to the field through her involvement in the Coordinating Core of the Rural Provders - Coordinated Accessibility, Research, and Evaluation (PRO-CARE) initiative funded by the American Heart Association. She is also part of the leadership team for UCSF's Advancing Workforce Analysis Research Dementia (AWARD) Network. Dr. Frogner has served on various committees for the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, and has co-chaired workshops focused on the affordability of health professional education. Her editorial contributions include positions on the boards of several distinguished journals. Dr. Frogner has authored nearly 200 publications and delivered over 250 presentations, appearing in major media outlets such as CNN and NPR.
