Bianca K. Frogner, PhD, is a Professor and Interim Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington (UW). She is the Director of the UW Center for Health Workforce Studies and the UW Primary Care Innovation Lab. Frogner is an Adjunct Professor in the Health Systems and Population Health Department at UW's School of Public Health and serves on the Coordinating Core of the Rural PRO-CARE, Rural Health Equity Research Network funded by the American Heart Association. Frogner has previously served on National Academies Science, Engineering, and Medicine committees, and has co-chaired workshops on affordability in health professional education. With over 200 publications including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and reports, she has delivered more than 250 scholarly presentations and has appeared in media outlets such as CNN and NPR. Bianca completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned her PhD in health economics from Johns Hopkins University. She also holds a BA in Molecular Cellular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
