Biography

Bianca Gaudenzi is an Assistant Professor at the University of Florence and a Bye-Fellow in Modern European History at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on the cultural and social history of 20th-century Germany, Italy, and Austria, with particular emphasis on consumer culture and the political implications of Fascist and Nazi regimes. She has significantly contributed to the field by supervising students and leading research on topics such as media history, the evolution of women's roles in 20th-century Europe, and the politics of art heritage. Her work is recognized by her involvement in the Commission for Looted Art in Europe and her fellowship with the Royal Historical Society. Gaudenzi continues to engage with research projects addressing looted art restitution and the representation of historical narratives in modern European history.
