Biography

Bilal Mansoor is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2010, and holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, awarded in 2007. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Pakistan in 2002. His research focuses on the behavior of materials in extreme environments, particularly the couplings between environment, microstructure, and mechanical behavior. Additionally, he investigates solid-state materials processing techniques, such as 3D printing and friction stir processing, alongside contributions to engineering education.
