Biography

Bilge Yilmaz is the Wharton Private Equity Professor at the Wharton School, where he serves as the Academic Director of the Harris Family Alternative Investments Program. Previously, he was a faculty member at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. He has received degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Boğaziçi University and a PhD in Economics from Princeton University. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as Econometrica and the American Economic Review. Additionally, he has served as a deputy chairman of a major opposition party in Turkey, engaging in the political landscape.
