Biography

Bill Daniell is an associate professor emeritus in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences, with a background as a physician epidemiologist. He has extensive teaching and practical research experience in environmental and occupational public health. He received the UW School of Public Health Outstanding Teaching Award in 2002 and 2011. Although technically retired from the University of Washington, he maintains active part-time faculty affiliations that include teaching, mentorship, and research roles. Currently, he is also a member of the King County Board of Health. His current research activities are focused on environmental and occupational health problems in Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam. Daniell earned his Master of Public Health from the University of Washington and his Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University.
