Biography

In 2011, Bill Todd significantly advanced Healthcare Management at his alma mater. As a distinguished faculty member, he crafted robust Healthcare Management courses, demonstrating his commitment to academic enhancement. Todd consistently imparts knowledge in Healthcare Sector Management, creating four original case studies each semester. His educational contributions extend to specialization, adroitly teaching Principles of Management to non-management majors while effectively conveying foundational concepts. His instructional reach encompasses the Entrepreneurship Forum and Strategic Management, showcasing a versatile teaching portfolio. In academia, Todd has served as the Faculty Guide for the prestigious Stamps President's Scholars Program, nurturing exceptional academic talent. His global academic influence is highlighted by invitations to participate in the Study Abroad Program at Worcester College, Oxford (2013, 2015) and the Biomedical Engineering Study Abroad Program at the National University of Ireland (2016, 2019). Beyond academia, he served as president and CEO of the Georgia Cancer Coalition, raising $300 million for cancer research and prevention. With a four-decade career focused on healthcare technology management in Atlanta, Todd also founded the Georgia Research Alliance in 1990 to foster innovation and established Encina Technology Ventures in 2000, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit. His career began at Emory University, culminating in roles as assistant vice president of Medical Administration. As a 1971 graduate of Georgia Tech, Todd attended Harvard's Institute for Educational Management and received an honorary doctorate in 2000 from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland.
