Biography

Binbin Chen is an Associate Professor in the Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD) pillar at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Future Communications Research and Development Programme in Singapore. Prior to joining SUTD, he was a Principal Research Scientist at the Advanced Digital Sciences Center, which has now been renamed Illinois ARCS, at the University of Illinois. Binbin holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor's degree from Peking University in Computer Science. His current research interests include wireless networking, distributed systems, and cyber security in critical infrastructures. His work has received various awards, including the Paper Award from the ACM SIGCOMM conference in 2010 for his contributions to error estimating coding. His research has been funded by several prominent organizations, including the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore and the Cyber Security Agency (CSA).
