Professor Bing Zhu aims to deepen insights into real estate development from economic and financial perspectives. His research focuses on real estate finance, specifically applying corporate finance theory and asset pricing models to real estate investments. His interests encompass the real estate market, sustainable real estate, the commercial real estate market, housing bubbles, and mortgage monetary policy. Professor Zhu studied construction management in China and received his doctorate in real estate economics from EBS University of Business and Law in 2011. Before joining the Technical University of Munich in 2019, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Regensburg, University of Cambridge, and University of Reading. He completed his teaching qualification (Habilitation) at the University of Regensburg in 2018. Moreover, he serves on the editorial board of the Journal of European Real Estate Research and on the scientific committee of the European Commercial Real Estate Data Alliance, as well as refereeing sessions for the European Real Estate Society’s Annual Conference.
