Dr. Bingqin Li

Biography

Professor Bingqin Li specializes in social policy governance, with extensive research focusing on urban governance within the contexts of rapid economic growth and aging populations, particularly in Australia and China. His projects examine age-friendly communities, local government engagement in delivering comprehensive social programs, and the integration of social inclusion. As the current Chair of the East Asian Social Policy Research Network and an associate editor for the Elsevier journal Urban Governance, he has contributed significantly to the academic discourse on social policy and urban studies. He has also consulted for international organizations such as the World Bank and the European Union, underscoring his involvement in impactful global discussions. His research has been published widely in prestigious academic journals covering social policy, public administration, and issues related to urbanization. He engages with diverse audiences through public talks across Europe and Asia and supervises doctoral candidates in areas related to urbanization, social policy, and community development in China.
