Biography

Binh Bui is an Associate Professor at Macquarie University, specializing in interface strategy management control systems, climate change emission trading, risk management, and accounting education. His current research projects examine carbon accounting assurance and climate risk disclosures, aiming to understand the accounting profession's role in addressing climate change challenges. Bui employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods, ranging from in-depth case studies to large database statistical analyses. He serves as an Associate Editor for several journals, including Accounting, Auditing, Accountability Journal, Accounting Finance, and Accounting Research Journal, and is on the editorial board of the British Accounting Review and Accounting History. He has supervised multiple PhD, Master’s, and Honours students, focusing on topics such as sustainability, carbon accounting, reporting, and management accounting.
