Biography

Björn Tyrefors received his Ph.D. from the Stockholm School of Economics in December 2007. His dissertation work focused on how institutions shape policy using quasi-experimental methods. After graduation, he held a post-doctoral position in the Department of Economics at Århus University and the Department of Economics at Stockholm University. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg and is also a researcher at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN) in Stockholm. His research topics primarily relate to labor economics, education, and political economics, with an emphasis on issues such as the effects of anonymous grading reforms on university students.
