Biography

Blair Henry is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. He currently serves as a Senior Ethicist at the Centre for Ethics at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, as well as at North York General Hospital and West Park Healthcare Centre. Blair holds a Doctorate in Bioethics from Loyola University Chicago, completed in 2016, and a Master's Degree in Theology with a specialty in Bioethics from the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto, awarded in 2003. His professional experience includes work in hospice and end-of-life care, and he has directed an ethics consulting company called Ethical Affairs. Blair completed a Clinical Ethics Fellowship in 2005 and subsequently served as a Senior Clinical Ethics Fellow at the Clinical Ethics Centre Research Ethics Board at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he honed his skills in research ethics and clinical ethics consultation.
