Biography

Blair Walker is a Clinical Associate Professor at Dell Medical School, specializing in psychiatric care for medically ill patients and has additional expertise in substance use disorders. In 2018, he co-founded a buprenorphine team aimed at addressing stigma and connecting patients with outpatient care for opioid use disorder. Walker is committed to education, teaching medical students and residents across various specialties. He is a recipient of multiple awards, including the Humanism in Psychiatry Award and the Van Dao Resident Award, and he actively supports the recovery of physicians as a member of the Travis County Medical Society Physician Health Rehabilitation Committee. As a champion for women in medicine, he regularly mentors residents and junior colleagues and is a member of the Women in Medicine Committee of the Travis County Medical Society.
