Professor Dr. Blake Phillips

Biography

Blake Phillips is the Director of the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo. He has a robust academic background with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Finance, as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Forestry, all obtained from the University of Alberta. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia. Phillips has contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications in reputable journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Review of Asset Pricing Studies. His research often focuses on various aspects of finance, including hedge funds, credit default swaps, and mutual fund performance, providing insights that enhance understanding of financial markets.
