Biography

Bo Bernhardsson received his Ph.D. in Automatic Control from Lund University in 1992, after which he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Minnesota. He returned to Lund University where he earned the docent degree in 1998 and became a full professor in 1999. From 2001 to 2010, he took a leave to work at Ericsson as an expert in mobile system design optimization. In 2010, he resumed his position at Lund University, continuing his work in Automatic Control. His current research interests include analysis of EEG signals, control of uncertain systems, radio-based sensing and communication, and the modeling and analysis of medical data, areas where he enjoys combining theoretical analysis with practical applications. His expertise is related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, contributing towards projects aimed at ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all.
