Biography

Bo Shen is a leading expert in interventional inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and pouch-related disorders, known for his specialized skills and experience in treating a wide range of conditions. He serves as the Director of the IBD Center at Columbia and as Co-Director of the Global Center for Integrated Colorectal Surgery IBD Interventional Endoscopy. A prolific researcher, Dr. Shen has published over 600 peer-reviewed articles and received funding from various notable organizations including the NIH and the American Gastroenterological Association. His contributions to the field include the establishment of the largest Pouchitis Clinic in the United States and the creation of an IBD Board to facilitate the management of challenging cases by multiple specialists. Dr. Shen specializes in critical diagnostic evaluation and endoscopic management of IBD, utilizing advanced imaging technology and endoscopic procedures.
