Biography

Bo Sjö is an Associate Professor in Financial Economics and Econometrics at Linköping University, specializing in finance macroeconomics. His research interests include inflation modeling, monetary policy in developing countries, central bank intervention, portfolio selection, remittances, and commodity pricing. He holds a PhD in Economics from Gothenburg University and has been appointed as Docent since 2000. Since joining Linköping University in 2010, he has worked with the Swedish Agency for Development Evaluation (SADEV) and Griffith University, and consulted for various organizations including the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Harvard University. He has served as a visiting Associate Professor at McGill University and as a guest lecturer at the University of Ghana in cooperation with UNU-WIDER. Bo has completed multiple funded projects and has ongoing projects with organizations such as the NASDAQ-OMX Foundation and the Swedish Energy Agency. His teaching experience includes course and program development and supervising PhD students. His publications have appeared in well-renowned journals such as the Journal of Economic Surveys, World Economy, and Economic Modelling.
