Biography

Bo Tan is an Associate Professor in Communications Engineering with a particular interest in signal processing at the Institute of Communications and Connected Systems (ICCS), Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University College London (UCL). Before joining UCL, he served as an Assistant Professor at Tampere University, Finland, where he still holds the title of Docent. His research focuses on radio signal processing applications in wireless communications and sensing, as well as the integration of machine learning into wireless networks. He has also held multiple postdoctoral research fellow positions, particularly in radar applications aimed at healthcare. In addition, Tan is the Vice Chair of the IEEE Finland AP/ED/MTT Chapter and serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Wireless Communications Letters. He is an active reviewer for numerous IEEE, ACM, and IET journals and has a robust publication record, as evidenced by his Google Scholar profile.
