Biography

Bob Li has a balanced academic experience complemented by his commercial expertise. He commenced his career as a research analyst in the commodity industry before transitioning to work as an investment analyst in the banking and utility sectors. His experience in the fund management industry allowed him to pivot towards academia, where he has worked in finance and related disciplines. Currently, he serves as a Teaching Specialist in the Department of Finance at The University of Melbourne, part of the Faculty of Business and Economics. Bob's industry experience enables him to blend academic rigor with practical experience in his teaching practices. His teaching activities include curriculum design aimed at inspiring students to think critically. His research has had a significant impact on investment strategies in society, evidenced by the adoption of his publications by investment practitioners. His current research interests focus on short selling risk activities.
