Biography

Climate change has caused an imbalance in the global carbon cycle, with human activity increasing the concentration of carbon in the atmosphere. To predict and mitigate the effects of climate change, it is crucial to understand the carbon flows in the atmosphere and the major reservoirs on land, namely plants and soils. The Waring Ecology Lab at Imperial College London conducts research on the ecology of plant and soil microbial communities and their influences on carbon cycle feedbacks related to climate change.
