Biography

Boon Thau Loo is the RCA Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania, with a secondary appointment in Electrical Systems Engineering. He leads the NetDB@Penn research group and is an active member of both the Distributed Systems Lab and the Penn database group. His accolades include the NSF CAREER Award and the AFOSR Young Investigator Award, as well as several teaching awards, demonstrating both his research excellence and commitment to education.
