Biography

Professor Borivoje Nikolic received his Dipl.Ing. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1992 and 1994, respectively, followed by a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California at Davis in 1999. He taught electronics courses at the University of Belgrade from 1992 to 1996 and has extensive industry experience, including positions at Silicon Systems, Inc., and Texas Instruments, focusing on disk-drive signal processing electronics. In 1999, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, as a professor. His research interests encompass digital and analog integrated circuit design, VLSI implementation, and communications signal processing algorithms. He co-authored 'Digital Integrated Circuits: Design Perspective, 2nd ed.' published by Prentice Hall in 2003. Prof. Nikolic has received numerous accolades including the NSF CAREER award in 2003 and various paper awards from conferences such as the IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference. He served as a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society and was involved in key organizational roles for major conferences in the field.
