Dr. Borsika Rabin

Biography

Borsika Rabin is a professor at the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science at UC San Diego, where she is also a founding faculty member and Co-Director of the Dissemination Implementation Science Center (DISC). She specializes in dissemination and implementation science and has built an extensive portfolio of large NIH and VA Center grants focused on stress and mental health. With a Ph.D. in Public Health Studies and an M.P.H. in Epidemiology, Borsika is an expert in the RE-AIM framework and its application to various health topics, including cancer prevention and cardiovascular health. She has significant expertise in stakeholder engagement, real-world study designs, and integration of research into practice. Borsika is committed to training and coaching early to mid-career researchers and has co-developed several online educational programs. Her research interests include implementation science, community engagement, and health equity, emphasizing underrepresented populations. Borsika actively contributes to methodological advancements in her field, including the development of measurement databases and toolkits for decision-making in implementation research. Her dedication to improving health outcomes in diverse communities drives her research and community engagement work.
