Biography

Bosko Tripkovic joined the University of Glasgow in 2024 as a Senior Lecturer in Legal Theory at the School of Law. He has previously worked at the University of Birmingham and the European University Institute, as well as held visiting positions at New York University. He obtained his PhD and LLM from the European University Institute, an MJur from the University of Oxford, and an MPhil and LLB from the University of Novi Sad. His research primarily explores the metaphysical and meta-ethical foundations of law. His work has been published in leading journals including the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies and the Journal of Legal Theory. In 2017, he authored the book 'Metaethics and Constitutional Adjudication,' which presents a new theory on the role of moral values in constitutional reasoning. Tripkovic's article, 'The Morality of Foreign Law,' received a Special Mention Award from the International Society of Public Law in 2020, and his doctoral thesis was awarded the Mauro Cappelletti Prize in 2016. He also serves on the Executive Editorial Board of 'Jurisprudence: An International Journal of Legal and Political Thought' and has participated in expert roles for organizations such as the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies and the OSCE.
