Bradford Chong, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with expertise in benign and malignant pancreatic diseases. He graduated with an MD from Rush Medical College of Rush University, followed by completing his internal medicine residency at USC/Los Angeles General Medical Center. He further completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Oregon Health Science University, where he served as Chief Gastroenterology Fellow, and pursued an additional fellowship in medical pancreatology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Chong now serves as the Director of the Pancreas Program at the University of Chicago. His clinical interests include pancreatic cysts, pancreatic cancer, acute and chronic pancreatitis, and pancreatic insufficiency. He chairs the Pancreas Multi-Disciplinary Conference and the Pancreatitis-Pain Board, and co-chairs the IgG4 Clinical Consortium at the University of Chicago. As a principal investigator, he focuses on healthcare disparities in pancreatic cancer diagnosis and outcomes and engages in community research to enhance genetic testing for high-risk individuals. Additionally, Dr. Chong is passionate about educating trainees and directs the Pancreatology Elective for gastroenterology fellows at the University of Chicago.
