Bradford J. Chong, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with expertise in both benign and malignant pancreatic diseases. He graduated with an MD from Rush Medical College of Rush University and completed his internal medicine residency training at USC/Los Angeles General Medical Center. Dr. Chong then pursued a gastroenterology fellowship at Oregon Health Science University, where he served as the Chief Gastroenterology Fellow, followed by an additional fellowship in medical pancreatology at the Mayo Clinic. He also holds leadership positions as Chair of the Pancreas Multi-Disciplinary Conference and the Pancreatitis-Pain Board, and Co-Chair of the IgG4 Clinical Consortium at the university. His research focuses on healthcare disparities in pancreatic cancer diagnosis and outcomes, emphasizing community-engaged research to enhance genetic testing for identifying high-risk individuals. Dr. Chong is dedicated to educating trainees and directs the Pancreatology Elective for gastroenterology fellows at the University of Chicago.
