Biography

Bradley Camburn is a Senior Lecturer at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where he focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance capabilities in physics-based simulation and support design processes. His work encompasses design science, particularly in ideation and prototyping, and he has authored 50 peer-reviewed publications throughout his career. He has also held the position of Assistant Professor in Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing Engineering at Oregon State University from 2019 to 2023. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 and holds a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008. Prior to joining SUTD, he was the Chief Engineer at Gilmour Space Technologies, where he led the Research and Development team in creating the world’s largest single-port hydrogen peroxide oxidized hybrid rocket engine. He has previously worked as a Research Scientist at SUTD and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s International Design Centre, contributing to various innovative research projects.
