Biography

Brad Doorn is the Program Manager for Water Resources and Agriculture in the Applied Science Program of the Earth Science Division of NASA, bringing 35 years of experience applying remote sensing data to Earth applications. He manages 25 applied research projects and serves as the Applied Sciences Project Lead for multiple satellite missions. Additionally, he represents NASA in interagency committees, including the NOAA-led Executive Council for the National Interagency Drought Information System (NIDIS). Previously, Brad was the Division Director of the International Production Assessment Division at the Office of Global Analysis, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), USDA. He also served for 10 years on active duty in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a Topographic Officer. As a long-time member and officer (including President) of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), Brad has made significant contributions to the field.
