Biography

Bradley H. Pollock is a Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology and has previously held positions at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as the Founding Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Pollock possesses extensive experience leading significant research initiatives, including as Principal Investigator for the Children’s Oncology Group under the National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program. He is recognized for his pivotal contributions to the epidemiology and control of childhood and adolescent cancers, as well as his leadership in National Institutes of Health-sponsored Clinical Translational Science Award Consortium. Dr. Pollock also played a key role in the UC Systemwide Public Health COVID-19 Work Group and directed the Healthy Davis Together initiative, a community collaboration aimed at combatting COVID-19 through integrated response and recovery strategies that included schools and vulnerable populations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, a Master of Public Health from UCLA, and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from UCLA.
