Biography

Brahim Saadouni is a Professor of Accounting and Finance at the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), University of Manchester. Before his tenure at AMBS, he worked within the School of Management at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) from 2000 to 2004 and previously at the University of Hull from 1991 to 1999. He served as the Head of the School of Accounting, Business and Finance and was the Director of the Centre for International Capital Markets Research. Professor Saadouni has extensive teaching experience both in the UK and internationally, having delivered courses and workshops across the Middle East and Asia. He held a visiting Associate Professorship at Boston University in the USA and a Visiting Research Fellowship at Perth Business School in Australia. His research focuses on the role of sovereign wealth funds in primary markets, underwriters' compensation, and the performance of Islamic funds, among other topics. His publications span prestigious journals in finance and business ethics, having contributed to various international studies and collaborations. Currently, he teaches courses in Foundations of Finance for undergraduates, Corporate Finance for MBA students, and International Financial Management for MSc-level students.
