Bram Büscher is a Professor and Chair in the Sociology of Development and Change Group at Wageningen University. He is also a Visiting Professor in the Department of Geography, Environmental Management, and Energy Studies at the University of Johannesburg. In 2021, he served as a fellow at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study, and in 2017, he held the Van Zyl Slabbert Visiting Professorship at the University of Cape Town. Büscher has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and chapters, including the book "Transforming the Frontier: Peace Parks and the Politics of Neoliberal Conservation in Southern Africa" (Duke University Press, 2013), and co-authored "Conservation Revolution: Radical Ideas for Saving Nature in the Anthropocene" (Verso, 2020). His recent work includes the book "Truth, Nature and Environmentalism in an Era of Post-Truth Politics and Platform Capitalism," published by the University of California Press in 2021. He serves as a senior editor for the open-access journal Conservation & Society.
