Dr. Brandi Bottiger

Biography

Brandi Anne Bottiger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University. She has been a member of the Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology division since 2011, where she specializes in providing care for cardiac thoracic surgical patients. In her role, she currently serves as the anesthesiology residency director and has previously held the position of cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship director. She also has experience as the medical director of transplant quality at the Duke Transplant Center. Dr. Bottiger's academic interests are focused on education, content development for cardiothoracic anesthesiology, and outcomes improvement in lung transplantation. She is actively involved in research initiatives pertaining to patient selection in lung transplantation and has received grants such as the one awarded by the Radiological Society of North America for augmenting patient selection and addressing potential health disparities in lung transplantation.
