Dr. Brandon Gaudiano

Biography

Brandon Gaudiano is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the Brown School of Public Health. He is a Clinical Psychologist at Butler Hospital and serves as the Associate Director of the Psychosocial Research Program and Director of Butler's Transitional Outpatient Program. He has significant involvement in developing novel psychosocial treatments for patients with mood and psychotic disorders, focusing on acceptance/mindfulness-based therapies and the incorporation of mobile technology in treatments. He has authored and edited several key works in the field, including contributions to clinical psychology encyclopedias and books published by Oxford University Press and Routledge. As an active researcher, he has been principal investigator on multiple funded projects aimed at enhancing treatment adherence and effectiveness for various clinical populations. His achievements include serving on committees for the American Psychological Association and various editorial boards in psychology journals. Gaudiano is dedicated to advancing evidence-based practices in clinical psychology through both his research and teaching roles, especially in the context of mindfulness and coping strategies in challenging clinical circumstances.
