Dr. Brandon Harsch

Biography

Brandon C. Harsch is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University. He completed his Medical Doctor degree at the University of Nevada, followed by a General Psychiatry Residency and a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, School of Medicine. His training equipped him with significant expertise in psychiatry, particularly in forensic psychiatry settings. In his academic role, Dr. Harsch is involved in educating medical students and residents in psychiatry, actively contributing to the academic mission of his department by engaging in teaching and mentoring. His research focuses on psychiatric practice, exploring the intersection of mental health and legal issues, which is informed by his specialized training in forensic psychiatry.
